These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and cvLens governing your access to and use of cvlens.net and all related services. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age required by the laws of your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@cvlens.net if you suspect unauthorised access. One account per natural person.
The Service is currently provided as a beta. This means: — Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time without prior notice. — Service availability is provided on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed uptime. — The Service is free of charge during the beta period. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any previously free features become paid. — Beta software may contain bugs or errors. We make no warranty that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own lawful purposes. This licence does not include any right to sublicense, resell, or make the Service available to third parties without our written consent.
You agree to use the Service only in ways that are lawful and consistent with these Terms. You must not: — Submit content that you do not have the right to process, share, or upload (e.g. another person's CV without their consent). — Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to make bulk requests, scrape results, or circumvent usage limits. — Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models, algorithms, or source code of the Service. — Resell, redistribute, or incorporate Service outputs into a competing product or service without our written permission. — Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service. — Use the Service to generate, store, or distribute illegal content, or to engage in fraud, harassment, or discrimination. — Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
You retain all intellectual property rights in the documents and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, and transmit it solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, sell it to third parties, or make it available to other users without your explicit consent.
The Service uses AI and large language models to generate analyses, scores, and improvement suggestions ("AI Output"). You acknowledge that: — AI Output is generated probabilistically and may contain inaccuracies or omissions. — AI Output does not constitute professional advice — legal, career, HR, or otherwise. — Match scores and ATS ratings are estimates based on statistical patterns and may not accurately predict how a specific employer will evaluate your CV. — We are not liable for any outcome that results from your reliance on AI Output.
The Service, including its design, interface, code, AI models, and all related materials, is owned by or licensed to cvLens and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. "cvLens", "JobLens", "HireLens", and related marks are trademarks of cvLens. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of those third parties. You access third-party services at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, cvLens shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) €50. During the beta period, when the Service is provided free of charge, our maximum aggregate liability is €50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless cvLens and its directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
You may close your account at any time by following the account deletion instructions in your profile settings or by contacting support@cvlens.net. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we determine that you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections 05, 07, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which cvLens is registered. Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@cvlens.net and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. EU consumers may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and post the revised Terms here with an updated effective date at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
— Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and cvLens regarding the Service. — Severability: If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force. — No waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right. — Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. — Language: The authoritative version of these Terms is the English version.
